Improved Protective Eyewear Available for Troops

Upgraded ballistic protection goggles are being produced by Panoptx Eyewear of San Francisco. The thicker version of tactical eyewear is now 2.45 mm, which compares to 2.33 mm of the original version.

The company says that the lightweight lens automatically darkens in sunlight, offers ultraviolet protection and acquires a yellow tint for night-time use.

The eyecup allows the introduction of filtered air, but keeps out wind, dust and sand, a spokesman says.
