PC Tank Simulator Sharpens Lethal Skills

A PC-based simulator is now allowing soldiers in Israel to conduct high fidelity exercises in their tanks. Called the appended tank crew trainer, the field deployable simulator is being produced by Elbit Systems of Haifa.

The system is used for night and day operations, gunnery practice, sensors operations and other vehicle equipment. The trainer can replicate operations against 3D virtual targets on geo-specific terrain. Three of the tank simulators can be linked for platoon training.
