Rocket Propelled Grenade Killer Developed
Edited by Robert H. Williams

A sensor and precision kill missile system has successfully neutralized a rocket propelled grenade in mid-air. The Quick Kill system was employed on a Stryker vehicle at a recent test in New Mexico.
The Raytheon Company product is a hit avoidance system that relies on electronically scanned array radar that detects and tracks an incoming RPG. It then cues a precision missile to destroy the flying grenade with a focused blast warhead—all “within the proverbial wink of an eye,” says a spokesman. The company took Quick Kill from concept to fruition in less than half a year.
