High Tech Porta-Potty Introduced

A self-contained processing system imported from Japan by PDA Llc. of Aurora, Ill., employs a novel system that relies on dehydration and maceration to convert human waste into a powdered ash. The residue is removed by means of vacuum bag for disposal, say company officials.

The system, which comes in stationary or portable models, is powered by electricity, kerosene or natural gas. A spokesman said the cutting-edge toilets could be used by the military, first responders or in a range of civilian applications.
