Sport Body Fuel Drink Takes Edge Off Thirst

British troops in hot, arid climes now have another means to avoid dehydration. The United Kingdom's Defence Logistics Organization has contracted GlaxoSmithKline to produce an isotonic drink for the grunts' 24-hour operational ration pack.

Defense contractor QinetiQ, based in London, prepared specifications for the drink. The company also prepared a guide for commanders on how to keep soldiers healthy and hydrated.
