Improved Military Weather Station Unveiled
Edited by Robert H. Williams
An advanced version of the TACMET II weather station is being offered by Climatronics Corp. of Bohemia, N.Y. The system, which comes in two rugged cases, operates on extremely low AC or DC power and provides weather information in real-time.
Data may be moved by wire or by an internal spread spectrum radio to display devices.
The station can be set up in five minutes with no tools, and is appropriate in mobile tactical air control, artillery support and other military field applications.
