Virtual Perimeter System Protects Marines in Iraq

Marines in forward bases in Iraq are using an intelligent video array that detects, identifies and alerts them to hostile intruders. Naval Sea Systems Command officials who acquired the system say a critical advantage is that it can be set up easily and quickly by troops when they are under fire.

The smart video software system was developed by Object Video, of Reston, Va.
