Black Hawk Rehearsal Simulator Unveiled

Black Hawk pilots in the Army’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment-Airborne will sharpen their skills on an advanced combat-mission simulator that is being developed by CAE USA. Scheduled for delivery next year, the mission-rehearsal system is designed for both variants of the Black Hawk that is used by the regiment.

The simulator features the company’s image generator and a large field of view display that is bolstered by a common environment, common database architecture.

The contract is worth an estimated $26 million.
