For the Consumer Who Has Everything
Edited by Robert H. Williams
Want
your own F-18E flight simulator? Clarks Precision Machine and Tool
of, Azle, Texas, is offering its “micro” simulator for
$68,000. All you need is a high-end home theater system and you
are good to go.
“This is a risky move on CPM&Ts behalf, due to the negative
press associated with simulators and pilot training devices after
the fatal attacks on September 11. Due to recent military spending
cuts in major programs … CPM&T has been forced to look
for new customers for sales of their military training products,”
says a spokesman. He adds that the company is anticipating only
“several sales per year.”
