Lockheed Martin, FBI Win Excellence in Enterprise Integration Awards

11  2,011

The Association for Enterprise Information, AFEI, in September announced the winners of its annual Excellence in Enterprise Integration Awards.

The top government submission selected was the FBI’s criminal justice information services division’s Law Enforcement National Data Exchange (N-DEx). The N-DEx is a powerful investigative system that ties the existing disparate databases on a national scale. It is first-of-its-kind secure platform for national criminal justice information sharing.

Two honorable mention government awards were given to the Joint Mission Environment Test Capability, of the office of secretary of defense’s acquisition, technology and logistic office’s test resource management center and to Joint Training Enterprise Network, which is operated by the Joint and Coalition Warfighting Center.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control’s Sniper Team in Orlando, Fla., took the top industry award. The Sniper Team supported the Air National Guard in meeting critical requirements for homeland defense missions and the integration of a full passive-attack system on the F-15C Eagle.

Two Industry Honorable Mention awards went to Northrop Grumman’s Joint National Integration Center Research and Development Contract and Raytheon’s Program Management Excellence Tool Suite.

The selected organizations demonstrated the best applications of technology and leadership to improve enterprise performance. Innovative approaches, quantifiable metrics, long-term strategic effects and measurable accomplishments were all clear attributes of the winning nominations.

Now in its ninth year, the Excellence in Enterprise Integration Awards Program recognizes the contributions and achievements of project teams that exemplify excellence in achieving integrated enterprises and that are models of the best applications of technology and leadership to improve enterprise performance.
