Sen. Bond Receives Eisenhower Award

NDIA Chairman of the Board John D. Illgen (right) presents the 2011 Dwight D. Eisenhower Award to Sen. Christopher S. “Kit” Bond (left) at the association’s annual award dinner in April. Bond received the award for his longstanding commitments to the military, intelligence community and to the nation’s war fighters and veterans.

Senator Bond received this prestigious Eisenhower Award not only for his past achievements, but for his current engagement in addressing the Nation's REE (Rare Earth Element) availability challenges with China and the search for alternative sources and substitutes.
