Aviation Fire Extinguisher Makes Debut at Convention

A halon alternative portable aviation fire extinguisher that is made by H3R Aviation Inc. of Larkspur, Calif., was recently showcased at a business aviation convention in Orlando, Fla. The Halotron 1, a 150-pound, wheeled extinguisher, is said to offer maximum visibility when being used and offers no electrostatic or thermal shock to damage on board electronics.

The intended replacement for halon extinguishers also has no electrical conductivity to the operator and does not need clean-up after being used.
