The Army spends $10 billion a year on information technology, but even that much money is not buying the service what it needs, said Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Sorenson, the Army’s chief information officer. “We have separate networks that don’t talk to each other and this is not supporting our Army today,” he told the Association of the U.S. Army. His wish is a “single enterprise that is global … that we can protect better and is cheaper.”
