A Las Vegas company has paired a low-light camera and spotlight that can detect and track intruders up to one and half miles away. The system was designed by ICx Digital Infrared Imaging to work with other components for even greater surveillance protection.
Combined with millimeter wave radar, for example, the system can automatically illuminate and track objects. By using an appropriate filter, the surveillance unit acquires a “near infrared capability,” says a company spokesman.
An optional thermal imaging camera permits covert viewing of suspicious targets.
