Surveys suggest that 10 percent of battlefield injuries involve the eyes. One initiative to curb that disturbing statistic is to provide ballistic protection eyewear and prescription inserts to the troops.
To that end, Revision Eyewear of Williston, Vt., has provided more than a half million Sawfly U.S. Military Eyewear Systems and Desert Locust U.S. Military Goggle Kits to combat troops and trainees.
