Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan will be receiving 67 gyro-stabilized camera systems that will be mounted on joint explosive ordnance disposal rapid response vehicles. The sensors will be used to seek out roadside improvised explosive devices.
Produced by Gyrocam Systems LLC of Sarasota, Fla., the package contains the company’s TS triple sensor, a high technology camera system that also is being used by the Army and other defense agencies.
