Custom-molded rubber prototypes increasingly are gaining applications in government and military products, says Jefferson Rubber Works Inc. of Worcester, Mass. The company has developed a new “injection-molding” process to expedite the production of rubber prototypes for various government agencies.
One such innovation was a second skin for gas masks that offered protection from biological and chemical agents.
