A
German armed forces air-conditioned mobile rescue station with its
own power and water supply has been sent to Mississippi to aid Hurricane
Katrina victims.
Produced by EADS of Ulm/Munich, Germany, the rescue station and
a support team will assist the Mississippi Emergency Management
Agency. Called the TransHospital, the advanced medical system is
also being used by military forces in Singapore, Spain, Slovenia
and United Arab Emirates.
