Canada’s CMC Electronics’ PilotView flight bag is being acquired by aerospace giant Embraer of Brazil for use on its E-Jets family and Lineage 1000 aircraft.
The compact system increases situational awareness by providing instant access to aircraft documentation and flight planning information, including en-route and approach charts, moving map display and real-time graphical weather information.
The display comes with a keyboard and touch sensitive screen. Additionally, a flight crew member can view data on another screen by touching a single key. The one key feature also permits toggling among other video images and surveillance systems.
